FIVE REASONS I HAVE TO RETURN TO INDIAN SPRINGS
(and you might want to come with me):

1. Conference director Anne Jones is a hoot!

2. Kathy Socha and Andi Kulp and their partners at Generations Gallery are astonishing, funny, energetic, generous, crazy women who make sure that everything is FUN and we are all spoiled rotten.

3. The writers who attend the Generations Gallery Writing Conference are talented and hospitable.

4. The faculty of this conference is packed with skilled authors. I’ll learn a LOT. In fact, if you look closely, you’ll notice that I raided Generations last year for Anhinga this summer. Peter Bowerman (The Well-Fed Self-Publisher) and Rosemary Daniell (of Zona Rosa fame) will be teaching in Gainesville in July. And Darren Harris, an author I met last year, is already familiar to the writers of the Anhinga. He staffed with us in 2009. He’s officially one of the Anhinga! And he’ll be back in G’ville this summer.

5. Indian Springs is enchantment. A cuter village does not exist. When I’m there, it’s easy to forget I’m on Planet Earth. And these days, that’s a good thing.
